Dracula Movie Event with Special Guests for Halloween
The Cinema Arts Centre will be hosting a once in a life movie theatre Halloween Event! Special Guests include Dacre Stoker, great - grandnephew of Bram Stoker and Ian Holt, renowned expert on vampire folklore with their book, Dracula The Undead, the sequel to Dracula. There will be a film showing, followed by a discussion with a reception and book signing!
About the Film:
One of the earliest classic American horror films from Universal Pictures and the only adaptation to be sanctioned by the Stoker Estate, Dracula (1931) is a masterpiece. The special effects & set design are cutting edge, but the film belongs to Bela Lugosi, whose performance as the titular Count (reprising his role from the hit Broadway play) continues to shock, inspire & delight audiences worldwide. USA, 1931, 75 min.
About the book:
Dracula The Un-Dead is a bone-chilling sequel based on Bram Stoker's own handwritten notes for characters and plot threads excised from the original edition. Written with the blessing and cooperation of Stoker family, Dracula The Un-Dead is a deeply researched, lovingly-crafted extension and celebration of one of the most popular novels in literature.

"Track Tucker" Premier Tour
I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell–based on the shocking, ridiculous and hilarious real life adventures of Tucker Max–is the story of an impromptu bachelor party gone horribly awry thanks to a midget, a fat girl, a gaggle of strippers, an overly destructive public intoxication ordinance, and the consequence of Tucker’s unflinching narcissism.
A nation wide tour had been developed to have 31 premiers, in 31 different cities. They did one premier each day leading up to the opening weekend. Instead of just doing one premiere either in New York or Los Angeles. At the premiers they had swag bags which was included in the price of the ticket, Q&A after each show, and stuck around to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. They also had after parties during some of their visits.
I thought this was a smart way to promote their movie. In addition, make an event that is usually very exclusive; made available to the general public. If you are an independent Film Maker or Production Company and looking to distribute your movie, increase ticket, or dvd sales. A "Premiere Tour" that is fun and can create unique experiences might be an avenue worth considering. In addition, will provide valuable data to Movie Distribution Companies on why it is worthwhile to pick up your next move project.

Interactive 3D Game Coming to Movie Theaters This Summer
By Mark Wilson
Asteroid Storm is an interactive 3D game coming to UK theaters later this summer that will precede movies like Ice Age 3 3D and Toy Story 3D.
20 UK Vue cinemas will offer audiences the opportunity to steer a spaceship through an asteroid belt. Two IR cameras will track the audience (the left half raises their hands to veer left, the right half raises their hands to veer right). None of the experience is prerendered—it's all an interactive video game.
As films go 3D, it'll be interesting to see if theaters (and movie makers) take the opportunity to integrate more interactive elements to the experience. Raising my hand in the air, however, is not how I see myself defeating the Decepticons to rule the Universe.
